Biography:
Dawn Overby is the Global Segment Manager for Animal Health at DuPont Animal Nutrition. For the past six years, Dawn has worked to improve the sustainability and efficiency of animal production in various species. Previously she has worked in the mining and financial industries. Dawn received a Bachelor of Science degree in Finance and International Business from The George Washington University and an Masters in Business Administration and a Masters of Arts in International Relations from The University of Pennsylvania’s Wharton School of Business and The Lauder Institute.

Understanding intestinal health is key to any poultry production strategy. Through the lens of nutribiosis, we can examine how the interaction between nutrition, microbiome and gut & immune function impacts and creates a favorable nutribiotic state in the bird. This holistic approach to intestinal health combined with the latest Omics technology brings new insights into how combinations of different feed additives impact the intestinal health and production of the bird, resulting in a winning on farm strategy.
